The Ordinary Hair Care Natural Moisturizing Factors + HA for hair and scalp is designed to support scalp hydration and skin barrier integrity.
This formulation has a light and fluid texture that allows for easy distribution on the scalp, without sticking to the hair and weighing down the roots..
Product Objectives:
- To provide a moisturising formula for the scalp to ensure healthy skin function, resulting in healthy lengths of hair
- To offer a formula that targets the hydration of the scalp, which has been shown to experience higher levels of transepidermal moisture loss than the skin on the forehead
Product Format: Lightweight milky emulsion
Ideally suited for: Dryness / Dehydration of the scalp.
Benefits: The formulation contains ingredients that mimic the function of natural moisturising factors (NMF), hyaluronic acid (HA) and Squalane that are naturally produced within the skin. NMF and HA’s ability to bind and retain water allows for hydration of the scalp. Additionally, Squalane supplements and imparts hydration. Clinical data showed that this product improved scalp hydration after 2 weeks and 4 weeks of daily use.

Directions
This product should be applied daily to a clean dry scalp, ideally at bedtime, as a leave-on treatment.

Greasy hair
I bought this in place of the usual HA scalp serum I get as it was out of stock. Soo disappointed. While the serum helps my scalp psoriasis a bit, it leaves the hair absolutely soaked and does not dry, leaving your hair to look incredibly greasy even though it is freshly washed and dried. Will not be repurchasing or even using the rest of the bottle. The Sephora brand HA serum for scalp is far superior does not have this problem.

Dandruff
So I have an insanely dry scalp, not sure why just have overall very dry skin and have struggled with dandruff for a while. This is a very awesome scalp treatment. I’ve been using it for a month. It does not make my hair greasy at all and I have noticed a significant improvement in my scalp dryness, definitely less dandruff and less overall dryness and itching.

Moisturizing for my scalp
I have mild psoriasis on my scalp and always used topical steroid cream to reduce the flakes and scales forming on my scalp. When I started to use this scalp right after my shower, I noticed that the flakes and scales have virtually been non-existent. Partly because I can use this product liberally all over the scalp, and also it is a very light weight solution that it spreads easily and absorbs into my dry scalp quickly, which gives the much-needed moisture that my scalp has been suffering for years. I use this even during daytime, and it does not make my hair greasy at all.

I had such high hopes!
This makes my hair SO greasy, it's disgusting. If I'm going to use it, I have to make sure it's the weekend or night before hair wash day only. Since I can't use it often, I can't say if it helps much

Greasy Hair :(
I really wanted to love this since my scalp gets dry and itchy. Unfortunately it made my hair greasy and not enough moisture. I put it on in the morning and by evening my scalp is dry again and my hair is heavy and gross. Guess my scalp is extra thirsty.

All you will ever need for flaky scalp.
My boyfriend and I both get dandruff. I have super dry curly hair and he has super oily hair. THIS STUFF IS A MIRACLE WORKER!!
I bought this to try it out and now I get it every month for us.
I wash my hair once every 4 days and when you start getting to the third day you do notice it needs some moisture help. I put this all over my scalp just after the shower. I still will condition and brush my hair, but this stuff saves me from having to wash my hair every 2 days. I put it directly onto my scalp using the applicator and then rub it in. YES IT IS A BIT RUNNY AND LIQUIDY - but that’s THE POINT OF IT!
It’s so easy to put all over your scalp when it’s a bit runny AND it doesn’t have a smell or leave any white marks so you can’t even tell you’ve put it on.
BEST THING SINCE SLICED BREAD! Buy this if you have dandruff.

Good for Male Balding scalp
52 year old male, I use this for the middle of my scalp that is balding. I was getting dry irritated scalp and this help keep it soft an avoid the dry flakiness.
