Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solution is an exfoliant targeted at the surface of the skin. It helps improve skin clarity, balance uneven skin tone, and correct texture over time. This formula contains a Tasmanian Pepperberry derivative of plant origin which varies in colour seasonally and this colour variation may be apparent in the formula from time to time.
This formula should not be used on sensitive, peeling or compromised skin. Please refer to additional sun protection note and other warnings in provided directions.
This pH of this formula is approximately 3.6. Glycolic Acid has a pKa of 3.6 and pKa is the most important aspect to consider in formulating with acids. pKa implies acid availability. When pKa is close to pH, there is an ideal balance between salt and acidity, maximizing effectiveness of the acid and reducing irritation.

Directions
Use ideally in the PM. no more frequently than once per day. After cleaning. saturate a cotton pad with the formula and sweep across face and neck. Avoid the eye contour and contact with eyes. Do not rinse off. Continue with additional skin treatments as needed. If persistent irritation occurs. discontinue use and consult a physician. (Sunburn Alert: This product contains an alpha hydroxy acid (AHA) that may increase your skin's sensitivity to the sun and particularly the possibility of sunburn. Use a sunscreen. wear protective clothing. and limit sun exposure while using this product and for a week afterwards. Use only as directed. Contact of the product with the skin must be of limited frequency or duration.)

MIRACLE WORKER! Why didn't I find this years ago!
I'm in my mid-60s and I've never had good looking skin. Finally out of the acne stage, still on the oily side, but all with consequences: "cottage cheese" texture, large pores, typical uneven tone from tough teenage/20's acne. Starting getting those "old lady" clogged oil gland bumps that wouldn't turn into a pimples, but wouldn't go away. Also had an awesome pea-size, kinda mole-looking soft "bump" on my cheek that made a great profile... at HALLOWEEN!!
I've always been diligent about cleaning and moisturizing my skin. I've been using The Ordinary moisturizing products for years, and love them. I randomly bought the large toner late Jan-2024. After no adverse reactions the first couple of nights so I began using nightly; what have I got to lose at the awesome price. I really saturate a cotton ball, reapply, swipe about three times. Yes, it's slightly "sticky" while drying, but after drying and applying moisturizer, it's fine for the night. (And amazing in the morning!)
Now for my GREAT news! By mid-Feb-2024, I started noticing my clogged glands diminshing! Out of the close-knit trio, by the first of March, I had one small one left, and it continues to diminish! It's now mid-May and my "Halloween decor" is at least 75% GONE! And I still have about a half inch of toner left in the bottle. My skin feels tighter and firmer. No, it's not going to tranform to peachy 20-year old skin, but I can now graciously age with MUCH nicer and healthier skin, and much more confident in my appearance. (I'm still in the professional working world.) Nothing wrong with getting older, but also nothing wrong with fighting and striving to slow down the aging process.
I can't wait to see how my skin looks this time next year. Even if it looks the same as it does today, that just means it doesn't look a year older! My only complaint: Why didn't I find this product years ago?!?!?!

Question…
I just got this glycolic acid. If a product says don’t use with peptides, Vit c or retinoids and I’m using it at night when I DO use ordinary’s retinol products….then what? This is for daily use. Do I just let it dry and then use my peptides and retinoid products? Confusing. Thanks. And I don’t see anything on this page that lets me create a question so I’m doing it here.

After pregnant armpit SMELL AND SWEAT
I’ve always sweated a lot from my armpits but after birth, OMG, my armpits had this strong foul odor and I couldn’t stop it with ANYTHING. Not to mention they even got darker. Believe me, I’ve used ALL kinds of deodorants, even clinical and expensive ones just to try to find a cure. I bought stuff for sweat and other products for smell. None of it worked. I researched for hours and bought something online that promises to keep you from smelling but not even that worked. I felt so hopeless until I found this!! I use it 3-4 times a week and I don’t sweat anymore!!! Well a little since I’m in Texas but I mean very ve try minimal and the smell???? GONE! For years I could’ve used this miracle product!! Oh and bonus, my puts are not not as dark as they used to be. They seem to get clearer by the day. This is a miracle 😭 I’ve never been so relieved. Get this!

AMAZING, cleared my hormonal acne
I bought this as I was really struggling with hormonal acne. It evened my skin tone and reduced redness of scarring OVERNIGHT, a few months later and my skin is now completely clear of acne and scarring. I started by using the product on a cotton bud as my skin is sensitive and there was no burning. I genuinely can not recommend this product enough. THANK YOU the ordinary, I am so happy :)

Great product!
I bought the 100ml, and i am using it on PM from cleansing then toner following with serum and mois! Fyi, i am a man with big pore. And after 1 week, my skin looks smooth by using this toner. My pore became small, and skin so looks healthy.

THE lifesaver
Ok, so I decided to give this toner another try after unsuccessfully having any results. What was I thinking NOT researching this product thoroughly??
So working in restaurants means the climate varies a lot. My skin has gone through one of the worst breakouts and dullness I've ever experienced in my entire life. My dandruff has gotten worse and my feet are quite literally scratching holes in my socks. Not to mention how much I literally stink of sweat.
Apparently, the toner becomes virtually USELESS when coming in contact with water. I massage my scalp with the toner 15 minutes before washing, poof. I haven't had dandruff since. So after every shower, I throughly wipe myself dry. Then on goes the toner under my armpits, my legs, face and feet. Leave them on for at least 5 minutes (this is a CRUCIAL step so let it sit before applying any moisturiser). Then comes the regular routine.
My skin has been glowing ever since, and I've never had such supple, glowy and smooth skin before in my life. Thank you Ordinary 😍❤️

Not hating but this is my opinion
I saw this product on my tiktok everywhere. And I wanted to try it out. I bought this about 2 months ago and have been using it every night. It makes my skin feel good but after a while I started breaking out a little bit. Not big pimples just small ones. I’m not hating on it. This product works on some face types not all face types.

PLEASE READ!!!
So I LOVE The Ordinary products! I use their puffy serum as well as the hair thickening and hyaluronic acid ones. Because of this I decided to get this glycolic acid and well let’s just say…it makes my face very sticky no matter what I do. There is no direction on how to use this besides “use after cleansing” especially for those who use face serum and moisturizer like me!! My face is a neutral skin type. It has its days.. some days are more oily and some days it’s just dry so I always use my ordinary face serum and my hydration cream.
•First I cleaned my face, applied my moisturizer, then my serum, then this glycolic acid and it made my face STICKY.
•Next day I tried something different. I cleaned my face, applied face serum, then the acid, then the moisturizer and my face was STICKY
•Next day I tried cleaning my face, adding the acid, then my serums, then moisturizer and well…it was less sticky than before but still sticky.
Idk if it is just my face type or the skin care products I use…but the ones I use are The Ordinary brands so…
I’m just saying, before you buy this make sure you know the steps on what to apply first, how to apply it, and if the brands of serum, moisturizer, or whatever you use will mess with the results of this brand.
*my face does feel super smooth in the morning after I was my face. It’s just at night when I apply this on is when it gets very sticky
