This product is a water-based, exfoliating formula designed to remove dead skin cells that can contribute to clogged pores. It is formulated for all skin types, including those prone to congestion and blemishes.
Directions
Apply once daily in the evening. Apply a small dot to the target area or apply a small amount over the face for general use. Do not use on sensitive, peeling or compromised skin. Avoid the eye contour and contact with eyes.

Be careful
I bought this a month ago and, because I have slightly sensitive skin, I made sure to do various spot tests and everything seemed on the up and up until I started putting it on my face. Whenever I bring this near my face the area around my eyes gradually goes red over the span of a few hours and at the end I am so red and swollen that it looks like I was stung by a bee on both eyes, and yes I don’t apply it around my eyes as per the instructions. Even if I wash it off right away, the damage is done. I bought it along with a few other products so at first I wasn’t sure which one was causing the reaction or if it was the combined reaction but after carefully working each one out and doing tests I have concluded that this one is my culprit. I suggest very carefully testing and phasing in strong products like these beforehand to prevent something like this happening to you. When I did my initial google research nothing was mentioned to say this was a possibility so please be careful. It could be that I am allergic to something in this, it could be the product itself, I am on my way to the doctor as I am writing this because my eyes are swollen practically shut. It is probably not the fault of The Ordinary but my relationship with it, but please be careful and ensure you don’t accidentally have the same problem.

Had a reaction :-(
Used this previously and never had any issues. Hadn't used for a while so made a new purchase.
Used it and had an allergic reaction. Reaction lasted so long I went to the doctors. Lots of people were surprised I'd reacted to this product. So I dismissed it could be this product...'as I had used it before'.
After 3 months reaction cleared and I was advised to re introduce items to eliminate the cause of reaction. Was so disappointed when I used this product again and I have had a more severe reaction than back in Feb. Very upsetting. An ingredient has obviously changed.

Was great previously, now it causes itchy rashes
I used the Salicylic Acid almost daily last year and it worked perfectly. Then I stopped using it for a few months and switched to a Zinc Cream for a few months. I just recently added it again to my skin care, now it causes me massive swelling around my eyes and an itchy rash over my whole face.

Ok but tbc if as good as the old one!
I used to use TO salicylic acid for years and loved it. When they stopped it I switched to Revolution which was also fab. When TO brought theirs back I switched back to it but it’s caused a lot of new break outs. I’m still going to use it a few more weeks to see if it’s just my skin getting used to the net formula.

Caused skin to burn
I have used ordinary products for years but hadn't used their Salicylic Acid,had used a different brand for this but bought ordinary as a replacement. Used it the last couple of days on a small spot and it caused my skin to burn, was slightly blistered over the area and has all peeled off now. Haven't had any issues with Salicylic Acid before or any ordinary products but this will go straight in the bin. Such a waste and hoping my skin heals soon

HELPED MY SKIN TEXTURE AND PIMPLE SO MUCH!!!!!!!!!
I bought this salicylic acid serum and I really noticed differences. My pimples started going away and if you use it everyday more pimples wont come out. Altho I really wish there was a bigger size. PLEASE MAKE THIS IN 60ML I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVEEEEEEEEEEE THIS PRODUCT

Redness and itchy skin
I used salicylic acid a year ago with the same brand, and it worked perfectly on my skin. However, the order I received recently made my skin irritated by causing redness and itchiness below my eyes. The irritation lasts for a couple of days. Too bad I ordered two of those, and I am certain I will never use them anymore. Such a waste of money.
