Vitamin C is an effective antioxidant that brightens the skin tone and reduces the appearance of signs of aging. The Ordinary Ethylated Ascorbic Acid 15% Solution offers a direct-acting form of Vitamin C, an effective antioxidant that has been shown to reverse multiple signs of skin aging while brightening the skin when applied topically. In its pure form, Vitamin C is unstable in water.
This formula offers a highly-stable, water-free, 15% Ethylated L-Ascorbic Acid solution. Unlike Vitamin C derivatives, ELAA does not require conversion to LAA (pure Vitamin C) and is directly usable by the skin. Using propanediol as the carrier for ELAA also ensures that it can efficiently penetrate into the skin and offer the best possible results.

Greasy with enlarged pores
Love Ordinary products but it’s hard to know whether they’re right for my skin or not. I replaced a different vitamin c serum with this one and the texture is greasy, feels like it sits on top of my skin and doesn’t absorb. Throughout the day/night while wearing it, my pores become enlarged. I wish I knew which vitamin C was best for me out of all the ones they have! It never shows up in the “build my regimen” routine but I know I want one still.

Severe allergies reaction.
This product caused me severe allergic reaction on my face and neck. I had to take antihistamines and put antihistamine cream on my face and it took days to calm down. It caused me burning and itching on my face and neck that started the day after I used it. They should do something about it as I can see other people had same issues.

Love it!
As someone who has had oily skin all her life, I was worried about whether this product would work for me. But I love it! My moisturizer glides right over it and my skin looks smooth and glowy all day. I've used it for a few weeks now and am glad to say I've had no negative reactions. My husband likes it too.

Does it really contain 3-0 Ethyl Ascorbic???
I bought three bottles of this (1 for my husband and 2 for me) but when I found out that the active ingredient 3-0 Ethyl Ascorbic is questionable on this product, I returned the other 2 bottles and kept the one that's already opened. What is the true key ingredients of this Vitamin C and why is its NOT disclosed (if you claim it's 3-0 Ethylated Ascorbic)? Upon checking the ingredient list, there are literally 2 listed {Propanediol, Ethyl Ascorbic Acid} not one of them is mentioned 3-0 ETHYL ASCORBIC. We customers would really appreciate the transparency - I myself do like this product but seeing the discrepancy on the ingredients list, I am having doubts.

See results but at a cost
I have been using this product now for two months. Because I have sensitive skin, I started very slowly, applying this twice a week to every other day to now every day. I do see results: skin is brighter. However, I have noticed that the skin around my nose and mouth is often inflamed and I need to put heavy cream around this area to combat the irritation. I think the percentage is slightly too high for what my skin can tolerate so I will be looking for other products.

Reaction within a few days
Within a few days of using this product, i noticed my face would heat up after application and itchy red bumps would appear. I would get them through out the day. I tried stopping just this product (I also bought 3 other products) and the reaction went away. Too bad but definitely not working for me.

I would recommend this for use on a maturer skin that requires brightening, however I would definitely be mindful when using it. Vitamin C can make the skin more sensitive and can have an adverse effect on skin that is sensitive already. You could start by using this product every other day, then once a day, slowly building up to twice a day as recommended.
