Why change?
Why change a good product? I've been using Estee Lauder's Mattifier for years because I have super oily skin. It was perfect. Never left a white cast on my skin which other brands often did. Now this new primer is super drying to the point my Double Wear foundation does not apply smoothly and other makeups, like my eyebrow pencil, would not apply at all. It leaves a white cast over my face which the Mattifier never did. I guess it's time to return this and go back to an older brand I used to use. So sad!

Disappointing New Primer
I've used the Mattifier primer for years, so I was excited about its replacement. But the new one didn't work for me. Even though I have oily skin, it made my skin super dry, which caused problems when I put on the Double Wear foundation. I tried adding moisturizer before, but it didn't help. Instead of looking radiant, it made my skin look too matte, like fake. Sadly, this primer isn't for me. Now, I'm looking for a different brand's primer that keeps my skin hydrated and controls oil better.

Love It!
Gifted by esteelauder: I love this primer to keep my face shine-free and I can see how my foundation would last a lot longer using this too! If you have the DoubleWear foundation they work extremely well together as a combo.

This primer was okay. It dried out my skin and sank into some pores, but it did smooth out other areas on my face. I have pretty dry skin with some texture, and it didn't emphasize the texture at all. This was gifted by esteelauder.

Smooth and no shine
Gifted by esteelquder The Double Wear smooth & Blur Primer is a great primer! This primer helps my skin stay matte without feeling dry or super thick. It applies like a really nice lotion and it helps hide my pores. I live in Florida and it helped my skin have less of a shine. Highly recommend!

Estee Lauder is one of my all-time favorite skincare and makeup brands. The double wear foundation is a staple in my make up collection and has always left me flawless. As I age I go for more sheer coverage so I have been using the double wear serum by Estée Lauder. It leaves me with a flawless finish, but doesn't last as long as the original. Introducing this to Lauder double smooth, and blur primer. It's a lightweight product that preps your skin For foundation or can be worn on its own. I feel it extends the life of my double wear serum. Gifted by Estée Lauder

I really like this brand. The packaging is really nice. The serum is a nice texture and was easy to apply. It sat well on my skin. I definitely noticed a difference after applying makeup. I didn't notice any movement at the end of the day. Gifted by esteelauder
