You're not listening!
I purchased the Smooth and Blur primer. It's a hefty investment. It doesn't work - sticky, gooey, leaves white cast under makeup, dries out your skin. I thought I'd check out the reviews. You guys aren't listening. After 30 years of using nothing but EL, I'm going to have to find a primer with another company. I didn't have these issues with The Smoother.

I have tried most every primer out there from low to high end, I have combination skin (oily in summer) this primer has allowed my foundation to last all day without touch up, goes on smoothly not heavy or sticky. I for one LOVE IT!

Awful Product, but read below.
Should have kept your bestseller, The Smoother. To those who agree, this is my secret. To replace The Smoother, I bought Aloe Vera Gel... very inexpensive. It feels just like The Smoother and makeup glides perfectly on top. Plus, you will save money... a lot of money. I used Ester Lauder's new Double Wear smooth and blur on my feet.

Why change?
Why change a good product? I've been using Estee Lauder's Mattifier for years because I have super oily skin. It was perfect. Never left a white cast on my skin which other brands often did. Now this new primer is super drying to the point my Double Wear foundation does not apply smoothly and other makeups, like my eyebrow pencil, would not apply at all. It leaves a white cast over my face which the Mattifier never did. I guess it's time to return this and go back to an older brand I used to use. So sad!

Disappointing New Primer
I've used the Mattifier primer for years, so I was excited about its replacement. But the new one didn't work for me. Even though I have oily skin, it made my skin super dry, which caused problems when I put on the Double Wear foundation. I tried adding moisturizer before, but it didn't help. Instead of looking radiant, it made my skin look too matte, like fake. Sadly, this primer isn't for me. Now, I'm looking for a different brand's primer that keeps my skin hydrated and controls oil better.

Love It!
Gifted by esteelauder: I love this primer to keep my face shine-free and I can see how my foundation would last a lot longer using this too! If you have the DoubleWear foundation they work extremely well together as a combo.

This primer was okay. It dried out my skin and sank into some pores, but it did smooth out other areas on my face. I have pretty dry skin with some texture, and it didn't emphasize the texture at all. This was gifted by esteelauder.
