Not as good as it once was
They clearly did something to the Velvet Rose and Oud scent. It's extremely weak now and smells mostly of alcohol. The last two bottles have been this way for me. It hasn't smelled great in years and I'll have to stop buying it. Either make it the way you used to or discontinue it. I'm not the only one complaining about this. The reviews here are riddled with these complaints.

Worst purchase
Hi I bought the Velvet Rose & oud body cream & cologne from duty free at East Midlands airport. As I was going out that night, layered cream with cologne smelled amazing but my skin tightening and tingling. Later on I realised I was having an allergic reaction.

Strong Impact, Short Appearance..
I've been a Jo Malone Consumer for some time now and discovered the beauty of the Velvet Rose Cologne Intense in-store. This scent initially enticed me with its powerful tones and rich notes of Rose, and I decided to purchase it based on the Sales Advisors' mention that it is a long-lasting product. Unfortunately, this could not have been more wrong. As much as it is a gorgeous smell with so much power at first, it seems to fade as quickly as the sun at sunset, and I worry that the £150, 100ml bottle will not last as long as other luxury brands, and as a value for money, I find it not worth it. I give it 3 stars based on its aromatic and vibrant scent, but it's barely worth what it is: unless you want a measly 2-hour fragrance experience..

Bad customer service
Bought this as a gift for my husband for his birthday and I had it personalised for him. However someone else in the family has also bought the same one. I phoned customer services to ask for an exchange for a different one however because of the personalisation I wasn't allowed. I can understand if the glass bottle was personalised but it was just the lid. Surely you can just replace the lid with the new one id like to exchange to. Not great service to say the cologne was £150 and the lid probably costs pence.

First time I have been disappointed.
Having been a self confessed Jo Malone addict for many years I was so excited to add this to my collection. It smells amazing and it instantly makes me smile, but wow it does not last and I find myself reaching for my bottle to get another hit! It is dreadfully disappointing and doesn't last, is it my skin, a bad batch I just don't know but compared to my other cologne intense fragrance it's just not got it which is such a shame as it is beautiful and I thought this might be my new favourite.

Does not last Faulty batch?
I purchased 100ml in November 23 as a 40th birthday personal treat. I have always had no issue carrying fragrance and know the tricks to make it last. However, the product I received is ridiculous and I can't justify another JM purchase again. It simply does not last longer than 1 hour (at best). I spray before I leave for work, and 20 minutes later when I sit at my desk, I feel like I have no perfume on! Other JM mini bottles I have purchased in other fragrances don't have this issue so I think I could have a faulty batch? Other perfumes don't require multiple sprays, but this does? I usually get compliments about my perfume, but this one has been a complete waste of money. It smells incredible as soon as you spray, floral, smokey, sensual...but what use is that if it doesn't last? Perhaps paying more doesn't always equal quality and a product you are happy to tell your friends anout! My advice would be to purchase, only if you can be near it for hourly re-applications.
